Can Imagine 3.0 run in a DOS session of OS/2 2.1?? If so, are there any special settings required? Thanks!

Michael, Imagine will not run under a DOS session in OS/2. Impulse is aware of the desire for running Imagine under OS/2 & Windows and will be working on this area for a future version of Imagine. There is a "hack" presently that will allow you to run Imagine under Windows. However, you need to have access to Phar Laps RUN386.EXE, which is part of their developers kits. -GreG

Greg, Do you have any info on this "hack" to get Imagine running under Windows and does it work in NT? Joe Cotellese

>> Do you have any info on this "hack" to get Imagine running under Windows and does it work in NT? << Joe, I don't have Win NT, so I can't speculate. Here's the scoop. I have a small stripper program courtesy of John Wildsmith. It strips Imagine of it's dos extender which is attached to the Imagine.EXE file. Once that is done, you use PHAR LAPS RUN386.EXE (latest version) to launch Imagine from Windows by clicking on it's Icon. RUN386.EXE is a dos extender available from Phar Lap as part of their development kit. It is quite expensive (about the price of Imagine itself), and distribution licensing royalties are also great….about $250 per piece sold. Therefore, this "hack" is not for everyone. This work around makes sense to those who already have access to Phar Lap RUN386.EXE. If you have access to it, and need the splitter program and directions, let me know. -GreG

I do have RUN286.EXE, it came with VC++ 1.5. Will this work? Joe Cotellese

>> I do have RUN286.EXE, it came with VC++ 1.5. Will this work? Joe, Was that a typo? RUN 286.EXE? If it was a typo let me know. It's easy enough for you to see if you have the current latest RUN386.EXE and if it works. I can send you John Wildsmiths splitter program and easy to follow directions. -GreG
