Hi Nick, Any news on the problems with the pull-downs not working in VR? In the meantime I started to explore Visual Model and have run into a problem – just what you wanted to hear right?<g> The problem is if I do the tutorial and then double click on the "-" icon in the very top left (the one that closes a program) the program closes – no problem, but if I then try to restart VM it won't. It just sits there when I double click on the icon in the Program Manager. So I check the task list and it is not running, I use the "run" command in the program manager and try to run the .exe and nothing. I have to re-start Windows to get it to re-run. In addition, I restart Windows, immediatly run VM, close it and then I can't re-run it, so immediatly run VR. Everything is OK until I start to close it and then got… "PROGMAN caused a GPF in module KRNL386.EXE at 0001:3729" Then I can't get any control and have to re-boot out of Windows :((((( This computer is a *very* stable computer. This is the computer I work with so it has to be. Help! Jim

you are not the only one with that problem .(not starting again} wanted to let you know that you are not alone zach do you ever get strange results w/organic mapping? ie sometimes it works some times it thinks it is planar mapping instead

Hi Zach: There are 2 important issues to consider when using organic mapping. 1) The default mapping scale for organic mapping is very small: it matches the size of the smallest poly in the object. Therefore if you don't rescale the textrue large enough it can look like it is mapping anew on each polygon (like Planar). So increase your texture-to-object scale substantially and see if that doesn't help. 2) There is a problem where organic mapping may not show a consistent scale when mapping over polygons of greatly varying sizes when these polygons are triangulated. We are currently discussing the best way to solve this issue. I hope this helps. Nick Josephs Visual Software
