Joel, Thanks for your reply. I did "test drive" Upfront when it first came out for Windows. However, as with most 1.0's I found it to be really "buggy". I liked the way it quickly laid out geometry. I never got past the bugs to lay out any real work. Whenever I tried to import 2D DXF data, the display would go crazy and eventually lock up. It reminds me of what I consider a better architectural program – ArchiCAD. Although it's five times the price of Upfront. What kind of architectural rendering do you do? Do you use it as a design tool, presentation tool, or both. I'm not a registered Architect, so I mostly contract my services to other Architects. I like it this way, where I don't have to worry about making design decisions. I'd never get anywhere, If I had to keep starting over. Keep in Touch, Darrin Sabin

The 1.1 version is much more controlled. You should give it another try. >>What kind of architectural rendering do you do? Do you use it as a design tool, presentation tool, or both. All of these depend on the design and its purpose. I've found Upfront to be a terrific design tool and RenderizeLive the perfect complement with its fuller rendering toolbox. So I use the combination to both design and present. I'm not "registered" either but I do a great deal of design work and pure rendering work for other clients. joel*
