I have a client who needs to spend some $ on capital equipment in a hurry. He wants to get a board that provides video in/out on a PC with some sort of hardware compression. We work with 3DS and Ani Pro on occassional projects, and he does corporate training videos with titles etc. every few months or so. He wants the best, most compatable (stable) card available in the $2-$3K range. The money needs to be spent very soon for budgetary reasons, so any suggesstion you might have will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the tip. I'll take at look at them…seems like I've seen a lot of messages describing problems with PAR… Chris

>> …seems like I've seen a lot of >> messages describing problems with PAR… Chris, Any new product is going to have a few problems here and there and the PAR is no exception. Even recording frame by frame to tape has it's problems. The people at DPS seem posed to address these problems and to further the product along (as in the Razor Pro\PAR chip upgrade). I myself am happy with the PAR and I know of a few also who use it day by day with no problems. My 2 cents… Ralph

Thanks, Ralph. It's valuable to know that. I think I may give DPS a call for a demo tape. Chris Barnes
