<Is this an off-the-shelf program? What's HVOSM and PHASE4?>
No, it is a group of programs that I wrote. HVOSM is a 3-dimensional model of
an automobile or pickup truck, it is designed for studying vehicle handling,
rollover, etc. PHASE4 is similar, but for tractor/trailers, it will not allow
overturn though, the program terminates when an overturn occurrs. These
programs, like the EDVAP series were originally produced through government
contracts, they are not user friendly like the EDVAP programs, but when you
need 3-d these (and others) are the way to model the vehicles.

Wes,
Have anything for calculating the path of a turning tractor trailor?
I have an expert that is looking for an autocad plug-in or soemthing else
reliable.
BTW< Are you doing 3D studio work or just in the neighborhood?
RIck Lapidus
Rick,
I have three programs that will do tractor/trailer paths,
EDVTS from Engr. Dynamics – two dimensional but easy to use
PHASE4 – full 3-dimensional model – more difficult to use
NARD – full 3-dimensional, made to model guardrail impacts – difficult to use
