#No RAM for Bitmap
5 messages in this thread
Hi on the other side of the ocean.
I have the following problem :
Whenever i make an IFL-file with more than 999 entries , it gives me
always the message in 3DSr3 No RAM for Bitmap. Although i tried it on
several machines with 32 MB , 64 MB and 96 MB memory this message
kept coming, so everytime i have to split it into several IFL-files.
Is there a setting somewhere which i have to change ?
That 999-entry limit in ifls was an r3 bug, Theo. You'll have to either
continue splitting them up, or get the upgrade to r4.

Correct,
You should (not) know how difficult it is to get the upgrade. WE ARE
IN HOLLAND MAN..
And AUTODESK shareholders probably complaining that they don't sell
enough here in Europe. It's easier to talk to the queen here than to
get an update to R4.
But we will keep on trying.
Thanx for letting me know !!
Theo
This is a quote from Jonas a while back, this should answer your question.
"R3 had a bug that limited the length of an IFL. R4 has fixed this bug.
Your only bet in R3 is to chop it up into 1000 entry IFL's ."
It looks like you answered your own question.
theo, I beleve you'll need to upgrade to R4 to solve your problem.
