#crash plying 640×480 flc
6 messages in this thread
I just bought my second Micron P90. this one has an IDE controler and
a Diamond Stelth 64 (pci) graphics adaptor. The system has a
controller card for the CD-ROM and thats all. 320×200 size filcs
play fine, 640×480 crash. I have switched the Vibrant (3ds vibcfg)
setup from flic playing between VIBRANT and "adsk" but the only
difference is when adsk is used the screen goes black with a cursor
at the top of the sereen and I can ESC back to 3ds ok. The Vibrant
selection displays the first frame of the flic and hangs. If any one
has an idea on this matter I'd really like to know about it.
Thanks kindly

Hi Richard,
I was having a similar problem with my PCI card. Jonas suggested choosing
Vibrant \ vesa compatibles under flic driver in 3ds vibcfg. Works fine.

Thanks Paul, I'll try your suggestion (Vibrant\vesa compatibles).
Actually Paul … I bevieve that under flic playing the only choices avalible
are
Vibrant and ADSK flic . I tried both choices, neither worked . Am I missing
something somewhere??

I know I was when Jonas suggested using vesa compatibles! I didn't
realize I had to go into a submenu after selecting Vibrant. When selecting
Vibrant flic drivers you still have to choose the type of video card, just like
for the mat. editor, 3D editor, etc. Select "vesa compatible" and you're all
set!

I just got a Micron P90 exactly as you discribe, and have not had any problems.
I DID pull the CD-adapter and hook the CD up to my SoundBlaster instead, but
the software settings I used were the exact same ones the original card used.
Is there a specific flic that comes on the WCT CD that you can get to crash?
I'll give it a try on mine.
