Does anyone know of a utility that will will convert Amiga/Studio16 sound file (8bit and 16bit) to .WAV format. I down loaded AMISOX 3.3 but was unable to get it running. Actually I was a bit confused on how to install it. I have used a few utilities that will convert 8bit sample, however I really need it for 16bit conversions. I've been told about a program called SampleWrench which sound great (around $400.00), but my budget has been cut for '95. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Michael – Try a shareware prog called SoundMachine- I think it's available on Compuserve from AmigaArts/Midi or somewhere in there. You'll probably have to convert your Studio16 files to AIFF (in Studio16), then to .WAV, but I've tried it & it works (been a while since I've used it, tho).Good luck! –Pd–

Paul, Thanks for the info. If it will convert 16bit files that will be great. Thanks again. Michael

Iknow soundmachine can convert 16bit files, but notthe version here its version 1.3,but you need version 1.5 the last version the authors made to load and convert 16bit stereo samples to 8bit..

Lepido, Do you know where I could get version 1.5, or would you recommend I contact the author. I'll see what I can dig up. Thanks for the info. Michael
