Excellent!!!!! More and more I'm leaning towards buying it, especially if it has a FiW document import feature. Do you know if it works with the Retina Z3's emulation? (Just a stab in the dark.) Paul – wearing my black construction paper funeral suit

FiW document import?? I'm not sure what you mean—Final Writer import? No, Wordworth can't load Final Writer files. Retina Z3: sorry, we don't have one of those to test with. Correction: WW doesn't currently support public screens. Only custom and Workbench. (That feature is currently unimplemented. I saw it in the interface and assumed it was implemented.) Cheers, Michael @ Soft-Logik Publishing

Well, I expect if the demo works with the Retina the ga version will too, so I'll wait for that. Paul – wearing my black construction paper funeral suit

So far I've had no problems at all with WW3.1 on the Retina Z3's blitter. Jeff Walker.

Ah, cool. How do you find the program, especially as compares with FiW? Is its TrueType support good and fast? Is its display easily readable? Paul – wearing my black construction paper funeral suit

Readable? Depends on your monitor, screen mode, your eyes, the point size, the font and the level magnification. It's just as readable as any other Amiga graphics-based WP, all of which require a screen mode with "square" pixels to look properly WYSIWYG. What is "good" TrueType support? It says it loads TrueType fonts. It has loaded the few I have on my hard disk. I expect, like with all font formats, there will be some fonts that won't load. Fast? What, on to the screen? No faster than CG or Type 1 really. If you mean at printing, no, it isn't any faster than before, but that's primarily because of the way the Amiga's printing system works. Personally, I cannot stand all the distractions of graphics-based word processors. I bash out my words in Protext (a very, very fast text-based WP) and, if I need to, make it look pretty in one desktop publisher or another, any of which has a few million more features than any graphics-based WP. So you don't use WW much? Paul – wearing my black construction paper funeral suit

Jeff, If you're using 3.1, then you're not using the Z3 at full capacity, when it comes to colors. I do find the blitter mode more under control with the crippled 3.1 support. I hope the new software coming out some day 🙂 will cure all the stuff plus add AGA compatibility. The new software, they tell me, should hit the streets round about the turn of the year. I for one sure can't wait. Paul – wearing my black construction paper funeral suit

I was talking about Wordworth 3.1, not Kickstart 3.1. I'm using KS3.0 with the Z3 for the reasons you have pointed out. (3.1 seems to be a popluar number this season 😎 Jeff Walker.

"3.1 seems to be a popular number this year" – yeah, it's all that Microsoft influence <g>. BTW – has anybody seen those TV ad for Microsoft – the megapretentious, barf-in-the-wind one that just about states MS will save the world from its misery using badly designed software?-) Please, get OUT of my corner!
