Is the new version 4.0 that I have been hearing about only for the Flyer, or
will it be available for the 4000 and etc. And if so, does anybody have an
idea as to what the cost of the upgrade will be and if you are a recent buyer,
will you receive it for free.

Yes it will be available according to Toaster User. Toaster User says that the
cost will be $500 and available on CD-ROM, which would suck since I don't have
one. I don't know if recent buyers are eligible for free. My local Toaster
Dealer says NewTeks priorities are as follows: Flyer, Multi-platform LightWave,
Toaster 4.0 which might bring it's release to 1999 Ha! (probably late Jan. 95)
Pick-up the latest Toaster User for tech. Info. Hope I helped.
Since the November VTU was published, we've received additional clar- ification
from NewTek on the Toaster System 4.0 upgrade. The list price will be $595 and
it will come on CD ROM AND about 60 floppy disks (2 separate options). The CD
ROM disk will have additional content (objects, surfaces, sound FX, etc.) on
it.
