I am trying to obtain a sample of Shattuckite, found in mining areas of
Arizona.
I attended a local gem/mineral show without any luck, either in finding a piece
or
finding anyone who knew where to start looking for it. Are there any
mail-order
places or BBS's dedicated to rocks where I can persue my search?

Hello,
Shattuckite was named for the Shattuck shaft or mine in Bisbee, Arizona. One
reference I have says it was owned by the Shattuck Arizona Mining Company.
As to why or how Shattuck fits in I do not know or have in my library.
If you want I have access to better mining/geology libraries and can look
further if you are interested and have not found information elsewhere.
