You have to make a seperate connection from the Amiga to the TV, with two RCA
jacks (left and right). You could also route the sound from the Amiga's RCA
jacks, into the cable and in through the 34 pin RGB jack, but the wiring would
be pretty hairy, and the sound would glitch the clarity of the picture (or so
I'm told). I've got 3 RCA jacks connecting Amiga to my XBR: composite video,
left and right audio, all connecting to Video 1 on the XBR. Thus I can see
what composite video looks like, if I want to. When I switch to RGB, I get TV
sound. Then I switch to Video 1 and get Amiga sound. I can listen to Dave
Letterman while I work on my Amiga, as long as the Amiga sound isn't important!
Even if it is, I can route it through my roommate's stereo…

I do have seperate cables running to the audio jacks. Unfortunately, the 1311
monitor seems to have a different routing structure for the audio. The video's
audio jack does not override the rf's audio like on the xbr line, so I'm
stumped unless I run the audio into the rgb as you suggest. thanks anyway,

Did you click it from TV to Video 1? Also, did you connect the Audio Select
line on the 34 pin cable (see SONYTV.TXT in DL2)? I'm pretty sure you don't
have to go to the trouble of connecting audio through the RGB plug!

The 1311 monitor does not have as many video inputs as the xbr's. There
is only one video/audio in , with only three switches on the front: tv, v tv,
video, and rgb. The audio select is wired as indicated in dl2, and it does
select audio that is not on the connector; i.e. it selects the tv or video
audio. Unfortunately, I get tv audio on the rgb selection, and it must be an
internal wiring select inside the 1311. It's not possible to push in the video
button and the rgb at the same time, so I'm still stumped! I might have to dig
inside the 1311 even though its only one week old!

BTW, I'm using the amiga now online with ezterm which i just typed in! I've
only had the computer for 3 days now and love it!
