I doubted because of the present cost of RGB encoders….I would certainly
be pleasantly surprised if that were so.

Then why do they cost so much commercially? Actually, I'm pricing the other
way other way—NTSC encoders (from RGB) cost about $2000 ($2k).
Because A: they're low volume items & B: that's what people pay for them.
The $1K SciTech genlocker is supposed to include a "broadcast quality"
encoder, but we shall see. —Mike
