#RGB encoding

I doubted because of the present cost of RGB encoders….I would certainly be pleasantly surprised if that were so.

Jeric, the RGB encoder chip in the Amiga is only about $10. —Mike

Then why do they cost so much commercially? Actually, I'm pricing the other way other way—NTSC encoders (from RGB) cost about $2000 ($2k).

Because A: they're low volume items & B: that's what people pay for them. The $1K SciTech genlocker is supposed to include a "broadcast quality" encoder, but we shall see. —Mike
