Testing what? The Newscutter? Media Composer? As far as I know, none of the BROADCAST systems are planned to be moved to Windows. I work for television, and when I talk about Avid I talk about the broadcast system. That's why many people don't understand what I mean in all this saga. Alberto

Hi Alberto, I was really trying not to get involved in this fray, but I can't stand it any longer… >>I work for television, and when I talk about Avid I talk about the broadcast system. That's why many people don't understand what I mean in all this saga.<< and earlier in the thread you said…. >>Television companies so far were only working with VCRs and expensive, yet complicated, editing consolles. They DON'T have a Windows computer in their cutting rooms. They look at systems, and buy a complete package. The fact that Avid has built a reputation for non-linear editing means they will buy directly from Avid.<< ahem…. excuse me? I live within an hours drive of 4 different broadcast studios, and guess what….. not a mac among them, in the "broadcast" studio that is. And there aren't enough fingers and toes to count the number of professional editing studios, both for broadcast and tape, within that same area, and you CAN count the number of mac's or AVID workstations on one hand. By the way, we do know what BROADCAST means, this continent invented the concept. Are you trying to insult everyone on this forum, or is that just your nature? Please try and be civil at least, and like the SYSOP suggested, please stop wasting our time and forum space with all this 'my ___ is bigger than your ____" nonsense or take it to private e-mail. Have a nice day, Brandon DesignTec
