Drawing programs

In planning ahead,I would like to know if there's a drawing program which
combines features with affordability.
Alex,
What do you consider affordability? How about $70 for DPaint?
Don
Okay,I meant just plain dirt cheap if those are common prices.
If you want a dirt cheap Paint program in one of the early Amazing Computing
magazines there is a program written in Amigabasic that was very good. Or for
about 50.00 or cheaper you can get Graphicraft from Commodore. This program is
very good compared to other paint programs on other machines. For the Amiga
though I like Aegis Images over Deluxe Paint I. I havent recieved my DP II
update yet so I cannot report on that program.
<Barry>
How much is Aegis? I've heard a lot about it and it seems to be popular.
Also, where do you get it? I haven't seen Amiga software for sale anywhere.
I think you are either living in the Twilight Zone or somewhere in between. In
New York, Amiga Software is all over the city. Aegis Images was included with
Their Animator Program & I Have seen it for around $100.00. For Images itself I
think they want about 50.00 or 60.00 for it, but I would go for the Animator
also, it is a great animation program! I am sorry for the beginning remark but
I cant believe you cant find software. About a year ago, when I first bought my
amiga (Oct 11, 1985) I had a very hard time finding software, but not now. If
you still can't find software houses in your neighborhood, you should try a
mail order co. They are listed in either AmigaWorld or Amazing Computing. If
you cant find Amazing Computing (A Great Amy Mag) you can subscribe to them at
PIM Publications, Inc.
P.O. Box 869
Fall River, MA 02722 A one year subscription is 24.00
US dollars!
Well,I'm in Washington D.C. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place?
Alex,
Define dirt cheap…under $50, under $30, under ??
Don
<=$50
Alex,
Ok, if you can still find it, GraphiCraft should be about $49.95. Other
than that, I don't know of any other commercial programs. The other choice is
MPAINT.ARC we have in DL 16. You'll also need ARC.EXE in DL 4 so you can
extract the files within MPAINT.ARC.
Don
I mean how much is AEGIS draw?
Alex,
Wait for the new version…out soon I've heard.
MSS promised me faithfully that it would be out in January.
Regards, Larry.
Thanks for the QUICK response!
Not even sure I sent it before I got your reply…must be ESP! <grin>
Scott
OOPS! I thought you were referring to Online! Sorry for the mixup.
At least it was a quick mixup. <grin>
Regards, Larry.
Larry,
I think you mean Aegis not MSS.
Don
Actually, I meant MSS, but had the program mixed up. Thoiught he was talking
about Online!
Regards, Larry.
Alex,
My listing shows it's list price to be $199.00
Don
You pay dirt cheap, you get dirt software….c'mon , $70 ain't that much.
DPaint II will be $129 retail, and I'm told well worth it. DynamiCAD is $499
retail, so you need to be more specific about "affordable". —Mike
Forget those,if those are the sort of prices I'll run into then,I want
something just plain cheap.
There is a paint program on DL16 here. I haven't tried it myself, but you
can't beat the price! —Mike
To do WHAT?? Catch a clue, boy, you have to be more specific. DRAW
is a CAD program, not a "drawing" program.
