"It ain't necessarily so…" According to the docs for the controller it
requires a very structured series of inputs before it will acknowledge any
command. I have presently connected both my modem and the controller to the
single RS-232 interface. My modem is functioning normally. It may be possible
to use both on one port (if used wisely). This is all rather hypothetical and
remain so until I figure out how to make my controller "do its thing"!!!!

When you learn how, please post up schematics and program info – I'm sure many
of us would like to know! Ron
The schematic is (hopefully) easy. It would be the simple matter of a RS-232
"Y" connector ( a few simple parts from Radio Shack). Whether or not it works
will only be tested once I figure out the software part! Never fear! I will
keep everyone informed if (when) I find out more!
