Hi ALL,
BAH HUMBUG!!!
Either my BSR-X10 controller is not operational or BSR-SO doesn't work!
I bought it as a cheap manual controller with the chance of actually using it
with my Amiga! I would appreciate knowing if anyone out there with a X-10
interface can get BSR-SO to work. If I can get something to happen, I will
tinker with it to ALL our be8=~?~?~?~?efits, but if the RS-232 doesn't respond
I'll move on to more productive projects!
BTW, although the program is written in AmigaBasic, the gentleman who
programmed it, chosed to save it in protected mode, so that the source is
irretrevable! I really don't care much for the source to this program – I just
want something to prove that my interface WORKS!
Oh well…
PLEASE someone out there try it out and tell me if it does or doesn't
work!

Roy, I am trying to solve the same problem. I haven't recieved the interface
yet from DAK ($19.90) but the other way to go is the IBM version running on
something. I've been using a computer (CoCo) controlled system for a couple of
years that is sure nice but has a couple of big shortcomings (not being able to
save your schedule to disk) that I can't wait to fix. It's only a matter of
time before the Amiga version runs. I'll let you know how I make out when I
get the interface, should be this week…Dave
Dave, I have the CoCo one as well. Let me know if you get yours hooked to the
Amiga, and I will do the same. BTW, aren't you supposed to be on vacation?

Oh yes! I'm ON vacation I just haven't vacated. May get down to Mexico for a
couple of days but never had anything more exotic planned than NOT driving into
the Valley for a week. So far so good but it's only been 2 days.
If you'd like to come to Venice one afternoon we could walk on the beach and

As far as the interface goes, I still haven't got it. Have you got the other
one?…Dave
I thought I'd just use the CoCo interface..it should be compatible. For reasons
mentioned in the previous message, I won't get around to it until after

The one tha DAK is selling is better and only $19.90. It's better by virtue of
it's 8 control button instead of 4…Dave
The one I have has no buttons, just a serial port. RS was closing them out for
about $15. It has the DIN serial port, so I should just have to build an
adapter cable (I hope). —Mike
Ok, I have one of those also. And (CoCo) software to drive it, but it is not a
stand alone device. It has to remain hooked to the computer and the computer
needs to be running to make it work. The other unit is programed and unhooked
from the computer and plugged in elsewhere to do it's thing.
The first isn't worth the $15.00 you paid for it. Go DAK!…Dave
