Running Online! v2 on my 2000 (like I've been doing for several days with no trouble) I suddenly started getting guru 3.00c74038 while dialing up a remote bbs. I use runback online! to start up, then amiga d, etc to start the dialing. This only started happening today. Any ideas? Thanks, Ron Troy

Ron, I also use Online! 2.0. If you haven't changed the sequence of how you are using Online! then perhaps it is something external to Online!. Have you added any new commands to your startup-sequence, or started running some different software on the 2000? A month ago, I was having alot of problems with GURU's. The problem ended up being version 1.1 of Setfont. SetFont 1.1 created a problem that wasn't readily apparent, but just caused random GURU's. Especially if you ran Conman with it. Also, have you been using Online! 2.0 for long? MSS sent out some bad copies of Online! 2.0 when it was first released, I had to get a new copy of it from them. (Version 2.01). BTW, I haven't RUN or RUNBACK Online! yet, if you keep having problems, I could try and see if I could duplicate the bug. Good Luck! <Glenn PS: Have you tried out the enhanced scripting abilities of version 2.0? If not, I uploaded the file OL2SCP.arc with some simple scripts in DL4.

I haven't tried the new script abilites – I just kept using my old ones. The guru is strange – it happened one day – like the 2000 didn tlike the weather, and then stopped. I do use conman, but don't use setfont. I haven't changed my startup, and have runback Online! as a separate typed in command. Thanks, Ron

I have a stock West Chester 2000, a Supra 2400 modem, and I recently moved my external 3.5 inside. The error occurred several times one day – it hasn't happened since. It does seem very strange. Ron
