A quick question just what is a good price for an amiga 2000? I faintly remember when it was going to be output that it was to cost about $2000 with a monitor. Now the best price without anything I can find here in town is $1999 without anything at all. Info and suggestions would be appreciated…

Lew, List price is $1999 for the base unit (with keyboard and mouse) only. Some dealer's are offering only small or no discounts on the A2000 due to high demand for them. Our local dealer's can't keep them in stock, they are all either pre-sold or sold within a few days of arriving in the store. Until supply outpaces demand, don't expect to find an A2000 anywhere for any kind of large discount. Don

The best price I've seen was sub-$1400 at Able. However, they're at least a month deep into their waiting list. I am paying a pseudo-nominal $1500 at Family Computing, again with a long waiting list. ../greg

Most dealers in my area are selling the 2000 for about $1500 (when they have any to sell, that is…) (also… "area" is about 100 miles radius… There aren't many dealers nearby…) –>Steve Bennett

Lew, there are dealers that are selling the 2000 at a discount, I've heard of it as low as $1395 (i think that is mail order) and CBM will soon be their own REPS and will not allow mail order houses to sell 2000's. Though Don is right about them selling like hot cakes I think you can do better that $1995 if you look hard enough. Malrene
