#1080 vs 2002 Monitor

Not correct — there certainly is a difference between the 1080 and 2002. The
2002 has a coarser dot-pitch (0.41) than the 1080 (0.39) so I would consider it
slightly inferior. –apl
The original 1080s had a dot pitch of 0.39. Go to you local dealer and take a
look at the latest 1080 spec sheet — it says "not greater than 0.41".
I have both an old 1080 monitor (Oct '85) and new 1080 monitor (Oct 87). The
difference in quality is tremendous. The dot size is noticeable even from
across the roo Even with the "fuzzies" corrected, the lower quality of the
1080 on my 2000 system is disappointing.

Oops, sorry, I was incorrect. Just went to my dealer and picked up the newest
ad slick for the 1080. It clearly states "Dot Pitch: .42mm" and "Bandwidth:
Greater than 10 MHz".
The only differences between the last batch of 1080s shipped and the 2002 is
that the 2002 has a different logo on the front, does not come with the Y cord
for the sound, and is shipped with either an IBM compatible video cable or an
Amiga video cable.
