Scott: If you are using something like CSH207 be sure that you do not envoke it on the initial CLI. Otherwise, delete the line that reads 'endcli > nil:' as well as the line that reads 'loadwb.' Now you need to add something that references the Ram: device such as 'cd ram:.' (Personally I would recommend using Perry's ASDG ramdisk rather than ram:). There are several ways to go from here but probably the easiest thing to do is add 'copy c: to ram:' and 'assign c: ram:.' That will work however be advised that the system will still occassionaly ask for the boot disk (for example when the libraries are needed). Also you might have to modify the path command. 'Path reset' will do the trick I think. I would also suggest that you might want to delete some of the commands that you rarely ever use from the c: directory as well as add the ones that you think that you will be using frequently (like format or even preferences). When deleting commands from the c: directory besure that you check the command files that you use (things like 'lable, jump, if, warn, etc. are often used). There are just so many ways to do the things that you are thinking of it is almost mind boggling. You might want to creat another command file that assigns all of the system type logical devices (except c: of course) to the disk of your choosing. 73, bill
