thanks mom BTW is that u in the pic in AC lighting up a coffin spike??
Yes Mike, unfortunate picture huh! <BLEECCCHHH>. By the way, the guy
standing next to me is Thom Holaday and the OLD curly grey haired gentleman
with his back to the camera is Larry Phillips <ducking>.
"OLD curly grey haired gentleman… is Larry Phillips…" He… He…
He… This is a sort of interesting commentary: somehow, AmigaWorld got
the same set of photos as AC. (Distributed by the show? I don't believe
that, really.) AC ran Jay's photo full page, and very nicely cropped, I
thought. You see pretty much all of him and, coincidentally, a decent
chunk of the Amazing Computing banner in the booth behind. The shot in
AmigaWorld is a different story: they bled it on the right edge, cropping
tightly into the screen of the monitor. Between this and Larry's head, you
can't really make out the AC banner any more. Gee, I wonder if this was
just a random coincidence? 8D
Rick, personally I was greatful to be cut out of the AW photo.
Coincedental indeed – hehe – see what you missed by not coming up to
AmiExpo (it wasn't a long drive or flight for you!). Marlene
Not a long drive or flight, but at that particular point in my existence,
time and money were both limiting factors. Now it's just money…
Don't I know it – it cost me a fortune and I live here. Parking alone was
more than most people paid for their hotel rooms <SNICKER>.

I am left wondering how the photog managed to get Jay Miner into a picture of
such eminent Amigaforum devotees. <grin>

Yes, the photos in AC and AW were the stock shots supplied by AmiExpo.
(I've gotten tired of taking pictures at shows, then never getting them in
the magazine… so now they start putting pictures in. Sigh.)
