I'd just like to say hello to everyone here. I'm new at this and will often needhelp. like right now. Can anyone tell me what program I could use to make working with one drive(internal) easier, and what data base to find it Thanx Mark Schwarz

Hi Mark, welcome to the Amiga Forum. There's a pgm in DL9 called CHGDSK.EXE that may be helpful. Also, depending on how much RAM you have, you can copy the c directory commands you need, the DEVS directory and LIBS directory to ram:, assign them there and not have to keep a Workbench disk in drive 0. To do this, you can alter your 'startup-sequence' file, found in the s directory to: makedir ram:c – copy each file from df0:c that is needed, then assign c: ram:c – do the same for devs and libs. There are lots of ways to do this, this is just one. Additionally, you can put those directories in VD0: which is the Recoverable Ram Disk from ASDG (it's in DL9 too) instead of ram: and you won't lose the files in a warm boot, or if the machine GURU's. If this explaination isn't clear enough let me know and I'll explain further. Marlene
