Anne, I need some advice again. I tried using the letter quality option in preferences and then loading Dpaint and other programs. I get the following result. 1. The printer prints very dense color…nice! 2. The printer prints VERY VERY slowly! 3. 3. After about 19 minutes I am able to get about two thirds or 3/4 of a page printed and the I get a requester box saying that their is a printer problem a 4. After repetedly pressing cancel OR resume I eventually get a Guru meditation! Any suggestions?!?!?!

Dick – sorry I didn't get back to you right away. I know the letter quality printing seems to take forever on the ALPS, slow to start and delays between each pass of the ribbon. But I've never had a problem with aborted printouts. Am uploading a revised driver to DL 11 – have changed some of the parameters on the graphics printout so that the pictures look less "squished" when printed with GraphicDump and DigiPaint. This driver works for my 2000 and ALPS printer. See if it helps you or if you like the proportions of the pictures better with this one. Let me know how it works, OK? @ Anne
