TS RAM BOard / C Ltd 20 MEG HD compatability?
The problem is in fact the long leads on the TS connector. The
symptoms are simply the drive is not recognized adn/or totally 'hangs'
the system.
The solution: in MOST cases, replacing the PALs in the Amiga
will do the trick. We sell kits of the required PALs with sockets and
instructions for $ 20.00. Though the code on these chips is not noted
as copyrighted, we called Commodore for permission to reproduce it anyway.
As of now, we do have (verbal) authorization to sell the chips and we will
continue to do so until we hear otherwise.
PAL kits can be ordered from our Customer Service Department. We
will sell these kits to whoever needs them, not limited to just our customers,
if you or any one is trying to connect a TS board and anything else to the
expansion bus, call us for PALs.

Ed, have you in fact tested the Techni-Soft RAM-BOard's passthrough? I would
like to pick up the new Amiga PALs and male<->male connector from you guys, but
before I do that I want to know that I'm not just wasting my time & money. If
you or any of your customers have had success with the combination of Amiga +
RAM-BOard + C. Ltd. PALs & male<->male connector + any other side bus device
attached to the RAM-BOard, please let me know. (i.e. Amiga<=>RAM-BOard<=>3rd
device, not Amiga<=>3rd device<=>RAM-BOard). Thanks… >Bela<

We have not tested it because unlike Microbotics who sent us a
StarBoard to test (Note: they also have our SCSI HD) T/S has no interest
in returning my calls, or supplying a RAMBO ard for testing.
We are open to suggestions!

Ed, I saw your messages about bus loading and how to deal with it. Thank you
for researching this and letting the information out to the public!! I have
posted the two series of FIX messages on a local board with an Amiga section
(XBBS, (408) 336-2249. To get to the Amiga section type 2010J).
Techni-Soft has a BBS at (801) 264-8290. The BBS gives you direct access to
Robert Briggs, apparently the guy who designed their board, rather than the
runaround from Debbie Briggs on the phone. I suggest posting your two messages
there and also sending a private message to the Sysop asking him to trade a
RAM-BOard for one of your SCSI controller+drive setups, like you did with
MicroBotics. I don't know if they'll go for it, but it's certainly worth
