Hello SYNDISIS… how about Silver 3.0? I see on the IMPULSE messages that they are not doing to do any type of 3.0 -> 2.0 coverter, so it's up to you folks!! KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! (BTW, why don't you folks develop a fractal landscape generator (ala your FONT editor) that would be a model for the Amiga community?… I know someone who has done a lion's share of the work already, and could steer you two together… ) –jp–

Well, I'm working on it. The next thing we're doing is updating all the modules out now, so VideoScape 2.0, Sculpt Animate hierarchies, and Turbo Silver 3.0. Things take time. As for the fractal generator, have you seen the Terrain program from Impulse? Also, perhaps you could relay a description of this program your friend is doing, through EasyPlex here.

Er, just curious….why would you like to have a TS 3.0 to 2.0 converter??

Well…. 1) I THOUGHT that Terrain saved in 3.0 format, so I wanted one in order to convert the Terrain landscapes to other formats (currently INTERCHANGE does not support 3.0) 2) When I create objects in 3.0, it is easier to upload them to boards, etc in 2.0 format for now, as not everyone has the 3.0 upgrade, and therefore others could not access the files. 3) I use several 3D programs professionally, and want to have the best flexibility in transferring objects from one format to another 4) I cannot edit 3.0 objects in 3-Demon, etc, until those programs support 3.0. Reasons enough? (actually, I wanted INTERCHANGE to do the 3.0 converter, that would be best… and those very nice people are working on it!!)

I was just curious. As a matter of fact, not being able to convert from 3.0 back to 2.0 has bitten me at least once. Now that Syndesis is doing a TS 3.0 InterChange module, I'll be able to import things to other renders again!
