Sysop, I am curious as to why the fastest protocal,Zmodem, isn't supported by your forum??????

Zmodem is not the fastest. B+ protocol is as fast and in many cases, faster.

Hmm I average about the same CPS with B+ as I do with Zmodem, and they both have resumeable transfers, but does B+ have any possibility of batch transfers? It would be a great boon!

I haven't looked at the B+ spec in a while — I really don't remember if the hooks for batch downloads are there or not. Since I use Whap for downloads, it's a moot point (for me).

Ahh I see, well thatz not such a bad option. All in all I would consider Zmodem and CIS B+ to be about even (and way ahead of any other protocol!) Thanx for the info – NickO

ZModem is not supported by CompuServe (and thus by this forum, since CompuServe decides.) However, ZModem is not faster than the CompuServe B+ or Compuserve quick B protocols. You can use Access! with QuickB, or JRComm and Whap! for B+ protocol. All are very good. Betty
