I've been very impressed with the sample images from your ScanLab/#?
products. Problem is I digitize a lot from transparencies, very large
originals, and 3-D objects. Your scanners seem to fit in a rather narrow
range of applications. For my use, the cost/performance ratio for your
products hasn't been very favorable. Please feel free to respond to any of
these points with more specific data. I would love to join the happy
family of ASDG customers! Looking forward to hearing more from you. And
thanks a bunch for jumping into this thread. — Bob
Considering your scanning requirements (transparancies, large originals,
and 3D objects) you might just be best served with a video digitizer.
However, the low cost of the JX-100, its high optical quality, and the fact
that you can use its software, ScanLab/100, to render images from your
video digitizer, you might want to take a look.
For example, ScanLab/100 will take 24 bit files produced by other systems
and render them faster, and arguably better that any other video software
available today. And yes, I specifically mean better than DV 4.0.
December 18th we'll post a large number of sample pictures from
ScanLab/100. I invite your critical analysis of the images and look forward
to your comments.
