In the January AmigaWorld there is an advertisement by Psygnosis (big
game company — always has hot graphics and never recognizes a second disk
drive 8) saying that the product will be available for the Amiga and for
CDTV. Commodore seems to have gotten game company support, at least. It
also seems that they are convinced the product will be released soon.

Believe it or not "Awesome" recognizes a second drive.

"Awsome" actually works fine on the 3000 (under 1.3).

Now if only disk 2 would read in my drive DF0: …. <sigh> Am I alone in
this problem?

No you are not! Go seek the dealer who sold you the program and explain
that Psygnosis HAS released an updated disk 2!!! (call 'em they'll tell
ya).

Unfortunately, I've gotten the updated disk and, well, I still have
problems. I guess I'm going to give up on this one. <sigh> Psygnosis have
been very helpful trying to get me going with AWESOME, I've just run out of
luck, I guess.

The European press has been suggesting that a Spring 1991 release (over
there) of the CDTV may well be within the realm of reality. According to
one report, Commodore has been doing two interesting things. First, they've
either already or are planning to ship a limited number of units to
selected households, to see how people react to the thing and how they use
it or what they think they might use it for. Secondly, they've supposedly
arranged for the possibility of rental of CDTV units through some of the
higher-quality electronics stores in the UK, so people can go through a
"try-before-you-buy" experience. Both sound like good ideas if true, and
should further clarify the possibilities for this thing. Sure hope it makes
a _big_ splash!!
