#A500 df0: problem

Sounds very bizzare, have you checked your drive alignment and or cleaned
it recently?

Ben,
Well, I cleaned it thoroughly (opened up the old A500, took the cover off
the drive, and did a careful job with a cotton swab and the right kind of
rubbing alcohol and a very light touch), and it helped for a few reads. My
drive may be very slightly off (if so it's been that way since I got it),
but it hasn't caused problems with any of the rest of my software. It may
be I'm simply locked out of this particular game due to its data density.
At least I got far enough to see the SPACE HARRIER part of the game as well
as the on-planet shoot-'em-up. Both looked fun, but not worth the endless
disk reads I had to wait through. I'll try again when my current internal
drive needs replacing. Thanks for the encouraging words, though!

Ben,
Guess so. Or sounds like AWESOME sits for a long while until current drive
is _really_ in trouble. 🙂 Or is that living dangerously?

Not unless you're saving valuable data.
