I am looking for a utility that will let me recover deleted files from my hard-drive. I want to be able to save them to floppy. I have recover programs, but they try to read the eintire hard-drive before giving me the option of choosing which files to recover, since I dont have 30 meg of RAM the computer crashes. Any ideas? Chad, The newly released QuarterBack Tools should do what you desire. Check that you have the latest version, since problems have been reported with some SCSI controllers. I believe that version 1.3a is current. David

Chad, the program you might want is RECOVE.LZH in library 9 of Amiga user. It's never given me any crashes.

Chad, there are several programs that can do that, all in Library 9 of this forum, or else in Library 12 of AmigaTech. In Library 9, DSAL42.LZH/B 34K 06-Sep-90 Recover files from corrupt disks. This can work on whole disks, or just on specific files. Read the docs carefully. RECOVE.LZH/B 11K 09-Sep-90 Disk-salvage program from Germany This one is designed to salvage only individual programs. Betty

I've had success with a program called 'Recover-II'. The program comes with no documentations but is fairly easy to learn. As for where to get it.. (that's a good question (grin)). Is should be in here though. – Rej –
