#DPaint III

Steve, first of all I'd like to thank-you for your help. It feels great to
leave a message one night and get an answer in the morning. I've downloaded
MAKEFA.LZH but I don't know how to use it. It doesn't have an icon to
kick-in and I tried allocating it in c: and altered the startup-sequence
but it didn't work. Maybe you have an answer. I'd like to thank-you again
and want you to know how greatful I am.
Alex.
As you might have guessed, that file you downloaded is archived. The
LZH extension means it was archived using a program called LHARC. The file
LHARC.EXE in library 5 of AmigaUser can extract the files from that
archive. Download LHARC.EXE and put it into your C: directory. (You can
rename it LHARC, if you'd like). Now, go to the directory that has
MAKEFA.LZH in it and type: LHARC -M -X X MAKEFA.LZH. The LHARC program
will now extract your files for you.
There's a program in library 5 of AmigaUser you might be interested in
downloading. It's called ARCHLP.EXE. It's a tutorial program on how to
use the archiving programs on the Amiga.
Let me know if this works….or if it doesn't!

Steve, I want to thank-you again for your help. Of course the night that I
left you the message I realized that I did not decompressed the file, hey!!
nobody's perfect, right? I've done it before (downloading [D and
messed-up). So everything is great now I got my animation menu back and I
got you to helped me out, what else could I ask for? Thanks a lot once
again, Steve. I'm thinking of getting at least 2mb of fast Ram, what do you
think of Baseboard and ICD 540?
Alex. ?exit
Glad you got everything working! I don't know a think about Baseboard and
ICD 540. Maybe someone else here does and will jump in with a comment.
Steve
Alex, as I replied to your first message, the easy way to do this is to
just update to the latest version of DPaint III. You probably have version
3.01… There is no charge to update your disks, just send us your
originals.
