#DevCon in Denver
10 messages in this thread
Wow! Everyone else get their developer mailing today? Nice surprises
inside….discounts on 3000's! Looks like the DevCon is going to be in
Denver too!

Yep. Guess that ballot-box stuffing I did at DevCon/Atlanta paid off
<grin>
Despite the fact that I live here, I think Denver's a good location for
DevCon. I just think it's better 'cause I do live here – I may even be
able to afford to go to this one!

Our copy arrived today, too, along with the latest Amiga World Expo
literature. Seems like no one's figured out this season thing: they've got
on in New York in March, and Orlando in July. And Denver in the fall?
Might be nice, but that makes it about a year and a half between USA dev
cons, and of course they ignore the Midwest again…
Well, Denver in the (early) fall is a heckuva lot better than Atlanta in
the middle of the summer! I can understand your wanting MidWest
acknowledgement and this _is_ a step in the right direction. First time a
DevCon's not been on one of the two coasts. Patience, John, patience. 🙂

Of course, I'm still waiting for one in the north-eastern DC-NY-Boston
region! But then again Commodore advertised on TV in Denver but left out
New York!

Ethan, the second DevCon was held in DC, so they have already had their
turn.

"Middle of Summer"??? Bob, Summer started this year on June 21, I'd hardly
call the 28th of June the 'middle' of summer. 1 August seems more 'middle'
to me.

"…ignore the Midwest…"? From where I stand, Denver *is* in the
Midwest! <grin> It ain't east coast and ain't west coast, and is west of
that big river with the funny name with all the "i"s in it, so it must be
Midwest, right??? (Heck, what do you expect from us East Coasters, to
which *everything* else is "West"… 🙂

Steve, by any chance, is there a write-up on IFF DR2D in the mailing?
I've been trying to get my paws on IFF DR2D for weeks…almost as if it
didn't exist… 🙂
No, nothing like that. Just info on a special on A3000's, the North
American DevCon, and the European Devcon.
