Does anyone know of a source for the Bridgeboard Janus 2.0 Upgrade? Mail Order or Store is acceptable. The upgrade should include the new PROMs since I'd like to use the Amiga mouse as a Microsoft Mouse.

Any authorized Ami dealer should be able to get Janus 2 for you, and an authorized service center can order the chip(s). You don't need the chips to use Amouse as an ms mouse, though. The chips are only to handle certain 3rd party hardware issues. Ron

What type of third party hardware issues? Could you list some examples please? -JOHN K. – via Whap!

If I remember right, certain items like accellerators wouldn't work properly with the bb's with older roms. Ron

Steve, I'm sure you will have to get the new ROMS from Commodore – through an Authorized Service Center. The Janus2 upgrade, which includes three disks and a nice manual, should be available through any Amiga dealer, and will cost you something like $35 or so. Betty

Ihave been trying to get the upgrade ROMs through a local dealer in New York, but they seem to be in very short supply. Also I have not seen any official notice that the update is available.

steven, it was at least a year ago that it was made available, and it has been discussed here many times. I feel sure your dealer can get it for you if he does not have it in stock. Betty
