Garry – I have sent a message to Reinhardt Michels (100016,2545) to get some additional info on the ATonce on a A1000. It just may be possible to upgrade your 1000 with the Rejuvenator and then add a ATonce… should work in theory….! I asked him to post his response here, guess he's still checking it out, as I E-Mailed him the same day you posted your question. The drawback is the over $400 cost of the Rejuvenator, while the upside is that you'd ALSO get a "NEW" machine while keeping your ol' trusty A1000. I know I'm oftly fond of my 1000, have yet to have a single problem with it, and it's an original, first shipment unit! Regards, Bob M.

Bob, I know the feeling I've had my 1000 since Sept 87 and it hasn't given me a minutes worth of trouble. I am still debating whether to expand my 1000 or to go ahead and get a 500, I really don't need a 2000 but I hate giving up the seperate keyboard that tucks away so nicely. Anyway I will get the 386sx I've been looking at, but you can bet I'll keep the Amiga around we I need a break from MS-Dossing around. Thanks for the reply, Garry

Garry- Yea, I just gave in and took advantage of an Employee Purchase special my company was having for Christmas…(I work for a computer company). But you can bet I'll hang onto AND USE my trusty 'miga. Happy Holidays! BOB M.

Reinhardt- Don't recall all the details about the Rejuvenator board, but it's basically an upgrade to an A1000 to bring the custom chips to current revisions and adds a 2000 compatible video slot… I'll dig up the details and send them to you next week. Bob Montgomery
