#ATonce 286 card ?

I have four questions.
First, does the ATonce multi-task politely, multi-task impolitely, or
take over the system? Second, does the ATonce require an A2020 be
connected in order to boot, or can it boot from a hard drive? Third, does
ATonce support some kind of pseudo-drive as the Janus software does?
Fourth, can ATonce auto-boot off of such a pseudo-drive?

Most of your questions seem to be directed to ATonce and how it behaves
with hard drives. ATonce works just the same as a PC would. You reserve an
area/s of your drive for PC use and then format them with Fdisk in the
usual way. This drive C,D,E or whatever will only be visible to the PC
side. You may of course autoboot dos from this
drive if you so wish to do so. I note that a hard drive is not compulsory
with ATonce.
Within memory limitations ATonce will multitask politely, although it is
screen based rather than window.

I have 2 questions/suggestions. First you say you reserve a space on your
HD and use the standard FDISK/FORMAT routine that PC use. Couldn't that
portion of the HD be accessable to the Amiga if you makeup a mountlist for
it using CrossDOS? If so that would eliminate the need for transfer
programs like C='s AREAD & AWRITE. Secondly on your A2000 version is it
possible to make a version of the software for people like myself that will
be using a separate VGA card that wouldn't actually open a separate screen
at all, but would rather work with a hotkey to switch the keyboard over to
the PC side without disturbing the Amiga side at all? This way the program
could be run in the Startup-Sequence and then switching from Amiga to PC
would be a simple hotkey and switch flip. (and the hotkey could switch both
the KB and the mouse unlike C='s need to flip to the BB screen, flip a
switch to get the VGA output, AND hit a hotkey to get the mouse to the PC
side!)
