Early September in Denver is normally in the mid to hi 80s. There has,
in the past been first week September snow storms, but they are rare. When
they do happen, it snows like crazy for a day, and the next day you're in
the 70s.
Thanks, Steve. It's just that you fellows talk so much about all of your
snow, and I'm so terribly unaccustomed to any! I STILL have not received
the mailing about the conference, so I really don't know when it is, where
it is, or anything about it except what I've read here. Perhaps I should
call Commodore tomorrow and complain about being so thoroughly ignored?

Denver gets a lot of snow, but it's highly exagerated. Denver has a
yearly average of 300 days of sunshine. When it snows here, we usually get
dumped on for 24 hours — then the next day the sun is out and the streets
are clear.
You might check with Dave Minnich as to why you've not been sent the
notice. He can ask discreetly without causing a ruckus.

Re snow: was it not you who told me that you don't see your lawn for
months at a time because it is covered with snow? Sure thought that was
you! 🙂

Yep, that was me. But usually happens between January and April. While
the (north side) lawns may be snowbound for months at a time the roads and
very well maintained (they've got LOTS of experience!).

Snowbound lawns! Sounds absolutely terrible. However, I suspect I could
bear up pretty well for the length of a DevCon meeting.

Denver's okay, I guess. Little too close to the sky, but, what the heck, I
have it on good authority that "altitude is your friend". Best thing about
Devcon in Denver is that it's close enough for me to attend, and contains
enough of my friends (and is close enough to some of my other friends that
they can travel there) so that I'll be assured of a good (if abusive) time.
Only thing better was if they either held it in Dallas or Kansas City.
