I don't know if you're pulling my leg or not, but I've done "Transport
Controller", "EDLP: Edit Decision List Processor", "TCRG: Time Code Reader
Generator" for MicroIllusions, and "VTOT: Video Tools On Tap" for Neriki.
Only the last (and latest) product is of use to non-video pros and
amateurs.
You can also check out "PicBase" shareware IFF data base program
somewhere here on CIS.

I've got you here, is the edit decision list program that comes with
Amilink (or the Toaster) the one you wrote?

Sorry to hear about that. Seems to be a lot of it going around these
days.
AmiLink used to be shipped with my edit list program (EDLP). They didn't
pay me for it. I believe they have since copied, er, come up with their
own. Ain't the Amiga software business grand?

I was wondering. A friend of mine has a complete Toaster setup here in
Holywood and he's been having trouble with the edit list program. I
figgered if it were your's, I could get some answers for him.
And yeah, there's a lot of that going around these days.

If it is "Edit Decision List Processor", then it is mine. It would not
surprise me that he would have troubles, since I have not updated AmiLink's
version for many moons, although I've updated the authorized buyers.

Mr. Berro,
Since you mentioned the EDLP program, I thought I'd interject by
thanking you for bringing such software to the Amiga. I used EDLP on
several feature films that I produced, and several months ago lucked into
finding someone selling their Microillusions TCRG brand-new in shrink wrap
for only $80.
My only wish is that someone would incorporate these two devices
and create software to control editing decks AROUND them, specifically the
popular AG-1950 Panasonics which I have. Have you considered such a
project?

I've considered the project for about three years now. I haven't found a
publisher willing to invest in it, and I'm too broke. Check out "PicBase"
somewhere in the libs here; it was to be a story-board front-end for EDLP.
Also, EDLP has secret control-key commands that will control a single deck
(for tape logging and cueing) when used with a VLAN box.
Also, I've updated EDLP considerably. If you like, I can email you an
"LZH" of the update description. I charge $50 for the update.

This is one I haven't heard of. Is it something like ImageFinder? This is
omething I'll definitely check out.

PicBase is like ImageFinder. I wrote it long before I heard of
ImageFinder. It does some things IF doesn't, like actually moving, deleting
and copying the files, but doesn't do some things IF does. I've been
getting a fairly good response (in shareware terms), so will probably be
adding the features that everyone keeps asking for.
