Well I got my Bridgeboard to boot up again, what a job. But I still have the same problem. I have an A3000 with an XT BB and a VGA card and monitor. The switch on the BB that selects color, mono or none is set for none. The problem is the VGA output is monochrome. It's the same card and monitor that were in my PC so I know they work. How do I get the output to go color? Is there an extra step for setting up a BB to output threw a separate video board? Thanks in advance. John s/exit

John, Usually there's software that comes with the VGA card, or switch settings on the card, or both…that allow you to set the default mode, or via software, alternate modes. Don

John, I've seen similar screen mode startup problems in clone machines, so I doubt that it's specifically a BB problem. There may be a jumper or switch on the card that needs to be set. Running a display mode program in the autoexec.bat may also be a good way to solve the problem. Hope this helps, 8) David
