Is there anyone that can clue me in as to the format of the IFF digitized
music files? I'm writing an article and need the information. Any help
would be appreciated.

Z-Net, Commodore publishes several guides to IFF formats. You can find the
full description of the SMUS IFF sound in their 'Devices' manual (published
by Addision-Wesley – found in most good bookstores). Commodore also
publishes their own 'Guide to the IFF format' or some such title. You'd
have to contact them for it. Your best bet would be the 'Devices' manual,
I'd think.
There may be some docs in misc files around here too. Maybe someone else
will be able to guide you to something more convienient (cheaper!).

The specifications for IFF of all types is available from Commodore on
disk. Get in touch with CATS, Commodore Business Machines, 1200 Wilson
Drive, West Chester, PA.
