AMI-BACK20 & FR_Bypass

Khalid, I found a program that has a problem with FR_Bypass. It is a file
backup
program called AMI-BACK20 for WB2.04, published by :
Moonlighter Software Development, INC.

It has a selective restore/backup window that opens after selecting its
index file via the asl FR. When your FR opens and you select the index file
the program simply returns to its first startup window. The selective file
window never appears. After turning off your FR via the RALT RSHIFT Q and
reselecting the restore gadget in AMI-BACK's startup window the selective
restore window opened up. I talked to Gary Holland the author of AMI-BACK
told him about the FR problem, he says it just uses standard calls to C=
asl.library. Asked if the programming code was available, I wasn't sure,
but noticed some programmers.lzh in the FR302.lzh file. I uploaded to him
you latest version of the FR that is on CIS. He is not a member of
CompuServe, but his:
BIX ppn is (gwholland) Gary Holland
GEnie is (g.holland6)
There also is a demo version of AMI-BACK in the Amiga forums.
Hope this helps,
Chris
Chris, thanks.. I have been informed of a couple of bugs in the asl bypass,
and I'm going to do a full rewrite of it very soon. I hope this fixes the
current problems.. (and not introduce any new ones 🙂
Khalid.
Khalid,
Ok glad to have been of some help. Take a look at AMI-BACK if your
in need of a backup program that supports tape drives. Looks nice so far.
