Are you having problems with the HPLaser driver that's in preferences?

no… but in wordperfect i can't get the printer to do italics and the
like??? any suggestions ?

Tim: It sounds like the printer is using its internal fonts (like using
NLQ mode in excellence!) and that there is no italic font in the printer.
Is there a way that from within WordNotsoPerfect you can switch the output
to graphics mode, or LQ mode? BTW, that will print MUCH slower than what
you are used to, and may require additional printer memory…
BTW, what priner are you using? Have tried using the control panel settings
to choose a different font

after further exploration i have determined that wp always overrides any
internal settings on the control panel… i have resorted to putting escape
sequences into the text file… it works ok, but is somewhat tedious… am
going to try buidling small macros to insert the escape sequences… best
