Does anybody use the Amiga version of Oberon? How much does the commercial
version cost, and where can one get it? I've a mind to play around with
the demo version in the Fred Fish library over the holidays, and wonder
what its current status is.
David, Amiga Oberon is fairly popular in Northern Europe, I've been told.
It is available from A+L AG, Daderiz 61, 2540 Grenchen, Switzerland, (011)
416-552-0311. These are the same people listed as fro M2Amiga which used
to be available from a firm in Texas whose name I no longer have on file.
I can't find anything in the literture on Oberon, so I'd be very interested
in your observations, especially a comparison to M2. BTW, which FF disk is
it on?

Thanks, Wayne. The demo version is on Fred Fish 380. It's crippled in
certain ways, like not responding on Monday's, but seems able enough to get
a good idea of what it's like. There's a book by N. Wirth, I believe,
which just specifies the language. It's supposed to be very similar to M2,
but with type extensions that make it object-oriented.
