2nd hand Amiga prices
4 messages in this thread
I have a rather urgent plea for help from users in BRITAIN – I need the
information by the end of the weekend.
Having bought a new Amiga, I am selling my old Amiga, and would like some
feedback as to a reasonable price to ask for it.
It's an A500, workbench 1.3 with a 42Mbyte hard disk (an A590 with a larger
drive fitted) and with 1Mb chip RAM, 3.5Mb fast RAM. I'm including 40 used
but good quality floppy disks for backup purposes.
Any guidance woud be appreciated.

I've no idea, I'm afraid… but why not take a trip to WH Smiths and have a
peak at the second-hand ads. That should give you a rough idea.

Shraddhan,
I'm not in the UK and have no idea of what the market it like there for a
used 500. However, if you were trying to sell it in the US I'd probably
say to look at the price of the A1200 with hard disk then divide by 3.

Steve,
Thanks for the reply. However, this afternoon I struck a deal with the
prospective buyer, and we've agreed on price and payment. I felt I'd asked
too low a price and the buyer then wanted me to lower it even further, so I
got rather annoyed with him. Today he accepted my price.
