GadToolsBox !?#?!

Has anyone else experienced problems with the new (1.4a) version of
GadToolsBox?? I downloaded it a few days ago, and it seems to be behaving
quite unreliably… the contents of string gadgets copy themselves to
other gadgets, or a gadget will loose it's default string or integer, and
then the gadget becomes impossible to edit — the edit window comes up,
but neither ok nor cancel work; have to reboot. I tried increasing the
stack size in the .info file, to no avail…
I'm running on a 2000 with a 68030, amigados 2.01, 2320 display enhancer,
and 1950 monitor….GadToolsBox v1.3 was working ok.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/commiseration/etc….

Haven't had any problem with GadTolsBox 1.4a. I use a stack of 25K or so.

I downloaded GadToolsBox 1.4a last week. I haven't had any problems using
it. I have generated some code that did not contain string gadgets
and that code worked ok. I will try generating some code with string
gadgets and see what I get. Good Luck!
By the way, The new version has some really nice options like generating
your main event loop and stubs for all of the event handling routines!

Dan,
Yeah, one of the reasons I want to use this new version is to take
advantage of those new features. Actually I managed to get my windows etc
built ok, just had to keep saving the project every couple of minutes.
I'm currently trying to figure out how reference the Flags etc of the
Gadgets in the new generated source… it doesn't seem to include the
Gadget arrays in the .h file, although the indexes (GDX_… #defines) are
still there. It seems as though we're being encouraged to get our info
from only the IntuiMessages, but I'd like to check the Gadget Flag word
for Checkbox gadgets' GFLG_SELECTED bit…. I'm on the verge of disobeying
the author's instructions to not "hack the generated code" and copy the
gadget-array declarations into the .h file, or maybe make a separate .h
for them…. What would you do?
