The Animation Tool Kit allows you to place a camera path in AutoCAD, for
example, and automatically output slide files or view a model in 'animated'
fashion within AutoCAD, among other things. It uses blocks that I'm not
sure are included in R12 AVE Render, so beware…

As Craig said, the Animation Tool Kit (ATK) works with AutoCAD. It *was*
updated for AutoCAD R11 (and the SHADE command); it has not been updated
for R12 (and the RENDER command).
