JKJ: State College is in the exact geographical center of Pennsylvania. It was founded specifically for the main campus of Penn State, and was placed there so as not to favor any portion of the state. Greg Pyros (now in Southern California, but born and raised in the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton area…)

Greg – Why is it that I'm always much more amazed at finding fellow Wilkes-Barre/Scranton escapees out in the world than I am at meeting inhabitants of distant planets? Imagine my amazement at finding that a W-B/S native is also an architect using 3D Studio, and one of the top users at that. The home town folks must be so proud. I can just imagine the front porch conversations back home: "Did you see the texture map on that Khufu pyramid?" and "How 'bout that Sphinx mesh. Probably more faces in that object than there is coal in our backyard." My ancestral home is the Dunmore metropolitan area, which of course is part of the greater Scranton metroplex, and is also the home of Louie DeNaples, Inc., one of the largest junkya… excuse me, auto thef… excuse me, auto salvage operations in the United States. Where ya from? Do you think there are any more of us out there? Joe Miller

Mid PA is beautiful! I remember now going to visit Penn State once long ago (something about a girl???) As for (south of) Pittsburgh, I tell people that "Pittsburgh is a good place to be FROM." <g> JKJ (happy in Tennessee)
