I'm creating a medical animation dealing with carpal tunnel syndrome. I've already creted the main animation composed of all the ligaments, bones, nerves, etc. Here's the problem at hand: We would like to show blood flow in the veins and also movements or flow in the nerves in order to show that these flows slow down and are constricted by misaligned bones. What options do I have to show this movement in 3DStudio???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.. Paul Kakert Fresh Look Design

Your best bet is to use an animated texture map. If you use a color-cycled animation made in AniPro, it'll take very little memory. However, it would have been better to apply mapping to the veins when lofting them (if you haven't already created the veins). Then the mapping would be all set up to show the flow of the animation. If you've already created the veins, you'll probably have to use planar mapping to get some approximation of the flow. With lofted mapping, you could get the flow to follow the path of the veins. If this is too vague, let me know and I'll give you more details. – Jack

You could try an animated texture map by creating a .FLI file with Cycle paint in AAPro..different speeds, colors, etc… Alan
