I have just started using 3D-Studio with Diaquest software and a Sony
EVO-9650 frame to frame recorder. My question is, is anyone else using this
setup at this time and are they running into a problem of the disconnecting
in the middle of the disk to VTR recording sessions. My system keeps
running and the software is operational but the VTR just stops (or
freezes). Have tried numerous things to get around this problem, but it
keeps doing it at about the mid- point of a 750 frame animation sequence.
Just looking for suggestions of something I might have missed.
David, have you tried to call diaquest? How are you dropping the frames to
tape? Are you using disk to VTR or are you rendering directly to tape. Our
training department has the same setup and they don't have any problems.
Did you stripe the tape all the way through so that it has a time code from
beginning to end?

I will restripe a new tape and give it a try. I believe we have tried
everything else. Thanks
