Does anyone know of a way to transfer large files from DOS to a Mac via 1.44meg floppies. I'm looking for a utility similar to slice.com or split.exe to put large files on multiple floppies as it's the only media we have in common. Thanks. TedB

I've seen a program in the Mac forums that will UNZIP a DOS file that's been compressed with PKZIP, but not sliced or cut up files. Your probably going to have to pass the files via modems or a null modem cable. MacLink Plus, Timbuktu and several other programs exist to do this, or you can make your own null modem cable-and use modem software to pass the files. You must also convert the file once its on the Mac to Mac format (Mac Binary format). Good luck! Paul Unterweiser, Unterweiser Studio-Animation

Paul I thought that would be the answer but had to ask<g>. The service bureau is getting a PC eventually so transfer of targa/tiff files will be simpler on my end. Thanks for the quick response. TedB
